Who this is for

Built for the first in the family — and the ones still translating both rooms

01

First-generation college students

The first in the family to sit in that classroom. Hidden curriculum, family pressure, money stress, and the feeling that everyone else got a handbook you never saw.

02

Blue-collar roots, white-collar life

You got the degree, the job, the title — and still do not quite belong in either world. Loyalty pulls one way. The office pulls the other. That split has a name, and it is treatable.

03

Partners, parents & the family system

The people who love you and still do not speak this new language. Couples crossing class, parents watching a kid leave, holidays that feel like two different countries.

01

First-Generation College Students

The first in the family to sit in that classroom. Belonging, the hidden curriculum, money, and the pressure to make the whole thing worth it — without a map anyone at home can hand you.

02

Blue-Collar Roots, White-Collar Life

You left, and you cannot go all the way back. Therapy and coaching for straddlers — people raised in working-class homes who now live in professional rooms and do not fully belong in either.

03

Impostor Syndrome & Belonging

You earned the seat and still wait to be found out. The exhaustion of passing, the voice that says you do not belong here, and the overwork that is doing a job confidence should do.

04

Family, Loyalty & Class

Do not get above your raising. Guilt about leaving, being the translator and sometimes the bank, and holidays that feel like two different countries. We work the family system without making you pick a side.

04

How I work

Therapy here is an action-oriented process

  1. 01

    Confidential means confidential

What you say in therapy stays here, with the same legal limits every licensed clinician has in the state where you are receiving care. Your school, employer, or family does not get a report from this website or this room.

  2. 02

Class is already in the room

Class is a culture, not just money. Code-switching, hidden rules, family scripts, and the cost of being the one who left. We do not spend the first six sessions explaining what first-gen actually feels like.

  3. 03

Tools you can use this week

Action-oriented work. Insight matters, but so does sleep, anger, the family phone call, the job, and getting through the next seminar or meeting without taking it out on yourself.

In their words

What clients and colleagues say

David Glick is the best therapist I have ever had. He helped me through a traumatic situation. He truly cares about his patients. He is an excellent listener and he gives great advice.
Lisa L.
As a clinician, I have referred clients to Triad as well as a family member. The staff is solution-based. I have sent teens to groups as well as students for academic issues to learn skills, with great success.
Stephanie H., referring clinician
I have been going to Triad for close to 10 years. Although I have worked through most of my issues, I continue to go because it helps me deal with life’s challenges.
Marshall C.
